Which character is a member of the Manji clan?

Yoshimitsu is a member and leader of the Manji clan in Tekken. The clan is portrayed as a group of thieves who use their skills to help the weak and oppose oppression.

Yoshimitsu first appeared in the original Tekken in 1994. His identity is closely tied to the Manji Clan's legendary sword, which is passed down through the leaders of the clan. According to the series' backstory, the sword carries the power and skill of previous leaders, giving Yoshimitsu's role both political and supernatural importance.

Kunimitsu is a common source of confusion because she was once Yoshimitsu's second-in-command and a member of the Manji Clan. However, Yoshimitsu expelled her after she began stealing for personal gain rather than for the clan's charitable mission. Master Raven and Raven are connected to covert military organizations, not the Manji Clan.

Yoshimitsu's clan affiliation also explains his unusual storylines. He has led raids to obtain money or technology for the clan, rescued Dr. Bosconovitch, and repeatedly entered King of Iron Fist tournaments while pursuing missions beyond the tournament itself. His fighting style is known as Advanced Manji Ninjutsu.
