Danny Strong plays Doyle McMaster on Gilmore Girls.

Doyle is the editor of the Yale student newspaper, the Yale Daily News, when Rory and Paris become involved with its staff. He is intense, demanding, and highly organized, making him a memorable figure in the college-era storylines.

Doyle initially dates Paris Geller, and their relationship becomes an important part of Paris's Yale years. His relationship with her is often played for comedy because both characters are ambitious, argumentative, and exceptionally driven. Doyle also works closely with Rory during her time at the newspaper.
