Which character does Cristela Alonzo voice in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Cristela Alonzo voices Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Cruz Ramirez begins the film as a trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center. She is enthusiastic about modern racing methods and initially works with Lightning McQueen as he tries to compete against faster, newer racers such as Jackson Storm.

Cruz’s story develops when her own abilities and ambitions come to the forefront. Lightning learns that she has wanted to race herself, but earlier experiences made her reluctant to pursue that goal. Their relationship therefore becomes a two-way mentorship rather than a simple coach-and-student arrangement.

Alonzo was announced as the voice of Cruz, while the character’s design and storyline helped broaden the series’ group of important racers. Cruz becomes especially significant in the film’s final competition, where the movie combines Lightning’s experience with Cruz’s speed and confidence.
