Which character did Elisabeth Shue play on CSI?

Elisabeth Shue played Julie Finlay on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She joined the CBS procedural as a series regular in season 12, replacing Marg Helgenberger after Catherine Willows’s departure from the main team.

Finlay was an experienced crime-scene investigator who had recently completed anger-management classes. Her arrival brought a new senior investigator into the Las Vegas crime lab and paired Shue with Ted Danson, whose character D.B. Russell had become the team’s supervisor.

Shue remained part of the regular cast through season 15. A common mix-up is to associate her with other CSI women such as Wendy Simms, Sofia Curtis, or Morgan Brody; those characters were played by different actresses. Shue is also widely recognized for film roles in The Karate Kid, Back to the Future Part II, Leaving Las Vegas, and Hollow Man.
