Which character becomes the new Piston Cup racer at the end of Pixar's Cars 3?

The story behind the answer

Cruz Ramirez becomes the new Piston Cup racer at the end of Pixar's Cars 3.

Cruz begins the film as a trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center, where she helps Lightning McQueen prepare for a new generation of competitors. Although she doubts her own racing ability, her training, speed, and determination become central to the story.

After McQueen realizes that his future can involve mentoring rather than simply defeating younger racers, Cruz takes his place in the final race against Jackson Storm. She wins the event in Lightning's old number 95 car, while McQueen adopts a new role as her mentor and teammate.

This ending does not mean Lightning disappears from the franchise. It presents Cruz as the next active Piston Cup driver while McQueen continues racing and supporting her. Sally Carrera remains Lightning's friend, Luigi is a tire-shop owner, and Mack remains his transporter.
