Cruz Ramirez becomes a racer for Rust-eze in the final race of Pixar's Cars 3.
Cruz begins Cars 3 as Lightning McQueen's high-performance trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center. She is a yellow sports coupe with extensive knowledge of racing simulations, but she has not fulfilled her own dream of competing in a major race.
During the Florida 500, Lightning realizes that Cruz deserves the opportunity to race. He sends her onto the track, and she takes over the competition while Lightning assumes the role of her crew chief. Cruz defeats Jackson Storm and wins the race.
The ending changes Rust-eze's racing identity. Lightning remains connected to the team and helps Cruz prepare, while Cruz becomes its new racing star. Cristela Alonzo voiced Cruz Ramirez in the English version, with Armie Hammer voicing Jackson Storm.
