Which car is Lightning McQueen’s main rival in Pixar’s original Cars?

Chick Hicks is Lightning McQueen’s main rival in Pixar’s original Cars.

Chick is a green race car who competes against Lightning and veteran champion Strip “The King” Weathers in the Piston Cup season finale. He is defined by aggressive tactics, a desire for publicity, and his willingness to cause crashes to gain an advantage.

The film presents Chick as a contrast to Lightning. Lightning begins the story as arrogant and self-centered, but he changes after spending time in Radiator Springs. Chick remains focused on winning at any cost, making the final race’s sportsmanship decision especially important.

Chick Hicks is voiced by Michael Keaton. He should not be confused with Jackson Storm, the technologically advanced rival introduced in Cars 3, or Francesco Bernoulli, Lightning’s principal racing opponent in Cars 2.
