Which British entrepreneur created Tangle Teezer before appearing on Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

British entrepreneur Shaun Pulfrey created Tangle Teezer before appearing on Dragon's Den.

Pulfrey worked as a hairstylist and developed the concept after identifying problems with conventional brushes, particularly the pulling and discomfort caused while removing knots. He refined a brush with flexible teeth designed to move through hair differently from a standard rigid brush.

He took the business to Dragon's Den to seek investment and commercial support. The pitch helped bring attention to the product and contributed to the company's later growth. Tangle Teezer subsequently became known in numerous international markets and developed multiple brush styles.

Pulfrey is sometimes confused with other British inventors who appeared on television business programmes, including James Dyson. Dyson is associated with vacuum cleaners and hand dryers, whereas Pulfrey's creation is specifically the Tangle Teezer detangling brush.
