Keane Lewis-Potter scored Brentford’s opening goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the 2026–27 Premier League opener.
He struck in the 12th minute of Brentford’s 3–0 home win on Saturday, 22 August. The early goal gave the Bees control of a London derby that they ultimately won comfortably.
Lewis-Potter’s goal was created by Mamadou Sangare, Brentford’s club-record signing midfielder. Sangare made an immediate impression on his debut by supplying the assist before Brentford added two more goals.
The result was notable because Tottenham began the season under Roberto De Zerbi with renewed optimism, yet Brentford kept a clean sheet and finished the opening Saturday with one of the round’s clearest victories.
