Which Boyz II Men song spent 13 weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100?
Answer
End of the Road
Answer
End of the Road
“End of the Road” spent 13 weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for Boyz II Men.
Released in 1992 for the soundtrack of the film Boomerang, “End of the Road” became one of Boyz II Men’s defining ballads. It reached number one and held that position for 13 weeks. At the time, that run broke the previous record for the longest stay atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The song is sometimes confused with “I’ll Make Love to You,” another Boyz II Men chart-topper that is already a separate major hit. “One Sweet Day,” recorded with Mariah Carey, later surpassed “End of the Road” with a 16-week run.
Babyface, L.A. Reid, and Daryl Simmons wrote the song. Its success helped make Boyz II Men one of the most commercially important R&B vocal groups of the 1990s, while the movie soundtrack introduced the recording to an even broader audience.
