Which boy band’s members are brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson?

The story behind the answer

Hanson is the boy band whose members are brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson. The American group formed in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1992.

The brothers achieved international fame with “MMMBop,” released in 1997. Taylor sang lead vocals and played keyboards, Isaac played guitar, and Zac played drums; all three also sang. Their sibling relationship distinguished Hanson from many manufactured vocal groups of the same era.

Hanson’s major-label debut album, *Middle of Nowhere*, was released in 1997. “MMMBop” became a worldwide hit and topped the US Billboard Hot 100. The song’s bright sound sometimes leads listeners to overlook that the group played instruments and wrote or co-wrote much of its material.

The band continued recording and performing after its teenage breakthrough. The members’ younger siblings were not members of Hanson’s core trio, which remained Isaac, Taylor, and Zac.
