The 2005 film starring Liam Neeson as Aslan adapted C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Directed by Andrew Adamson, the film was released in 2005 and follows Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter Pevensie as they enter Narnia during the Second World War. Liam Neeson provided the voice of Aslan, while Tilda Swinton played the White Witch.

The film was the first theatrical feature in the Chronicles of Narnia film series produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media. Later films adapted Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The movie title includes the book’s full title, making it distinct from adaptations of the other Narnia novels.
