Kendall Schmidt played Kendall Knight in the Nickelodeon television series Big Time Rush.
Schmidt starred as Kendall Knight, the central character of Big Time Rush, which premiered on Nickelodeon in November 2009. The series followed four hockey-playing friends from Minnesota who move to Los Angeles after being selected to form a boy band. The fictional group and the real musical act shared the same name.
The other principal members were James Maslow as James Diamond, Carlos PenaVega as Carlos Garcia, and Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell. Their character names are sometimes confused because the actors performed together both on television and as recording artists.
Kendall Schmidt also became a member of the real Big Time Rush, contributing vocals and playing guitar. The television series ran for four seasons and helped the band build a young international audience before and alongside its studio releases.
