Radiohead released the album OK Computer in 1997.

It was the English band’s third studio album and arrived on May 21, 1997, through Parlophone and Capitol Records. The record marked a major change from the guitar-focused approach of Radiohead’s previous album, The Bends, combining alternative rock with electronic textures, atmospheric production, and unusually expansive arrangements.

Much of the album was recorded in Radiohead’s rehearsal space in Oxfordshire and at St Catherine’s Court, a historic mansion near Bath. Producer Nigel Godrich helped shape its distinctive sound. Songs such as “Paranoid Android,” “Karma Police,” “No Surprises,” and “Lucky” became widely recognized parts of the band’s catalogue.
