Gorillaz released the 2005 album Demon Days, featuring “Feel Good Inc.”
Demon Days was Gorillaz’s second studio album and followed their self-titled 2001 debut. Gorillaz is a virtual band created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett, with animated members used as part of the project’s visual identity. The record combines alternative rock, hip-hop, electronic music, pop and other styles.
“Feel Good Inc.” features De La Soul and became one of Gorillaz’s most successful singles. The album also includes “DARE,” “Dirty Harry” and “Kids with Guns.” Its production involved several guest performers, including Neneh Cherry, Shaun Ryder and Ike Turner.
Demon Days is sometimes confused with Gorillaz’s debut because both albums established the project’s genre-crossing character. The debut contains “Clint Eastwood” and “19-2000,” whereas Demon Days is the record associated with “Feel Good Inc.” and “DARE.”
