Answer
System of a Down
Answer
System of a Down
System of a Down released the 1998 album System of a Down. It was the Armenian-American band's self-titled debut studio album.
The record introduced the group's unusual blend of alternative metal, heavy metal, punk, and Armenian musical influences. Songs such as Sugar, Suite-Pee, and War? helped establish the band's distinctive combination of abrupt changes, theatrical vocals, and socially focused lyrics.
The band formed in Glendale, California, in 1994. Its classic lineup included Serj Tankian on vocals, Daron Malakian on guitar, Shavo Odadjian on bass, and John Dolmayan on drums.
The album title uses the band's own name, so it is sometimes confused with later records such as Toxicity or Steal This Album!. Those are separate System of a Down releases.
