Which band released the 1989 album No Control?
Answer
Bad Religion
Answer
Bad Religion
Bad Religion released the 1989 album No Control.
No Control was the Los Angeles punk band’s fourth studio album and followed Suffer, the influential 1988 record that helped renew interest in melodic hardcore. The new album continued Bad Religion’s fast tempos, compact songwriting, harmonized guitars, and socially critical lyrics.
The record includes “Change of Ideas,” “Big Bang,” “I Want to Conquer the World,” and “You.” Its songs are generally brief, but the album’s tightly arranged melodies helped distinguish Bad Religion from hardcore acts built primarily around speed and abrasion.
No Control is sometimes confused with Suffer because both are central to the band’s late-1980s period. Suffer was released in 1988, while No Control followed in 1989. The band later reached a much larger audience after signing with Atlantic Records for Recipe for Hate and Stranger Than Fiction.
