Which band released the 1982 album Plastic Surgery Disasters?

Dead Kennedys released the 1982 album Plastic Surgery Disasters.

Plastic Surgery Disasters was the San Francisco band’s second studio album. Cherry Red Records released it in the United Kingdom in November 1982, while Alternative Tentacles handled the American release. The album followed Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables and continued the group’s combination of hardcore punk, political criticism, and dark humor.

Its songs include “Government Flu,” “Riot,” and “Bleed for Me.” The front cover uses a photograph by Michael Wells showing starving children in Uganda, an image that reinforces the album’s confrontational social commentary.

The record is sometimes mistaken for a compilation because Dead Kennedys also issued several compilations and singles. It is, however, a proper studio album and an important statement from the band’s classic lineup.
