Which band recorded the 1977 album Rocket to Russia?
Answer
Ramones
Answer
Ramones
The Ramones recorded the 1977 album Rocket to Russia.
Released on 4 November 1977, Rocket to Russia was the American band’s third studio album. It was produced by Tony Bongiovi and Tommy Ramone and helped establish the Ramones’ fast, concise songwriting and highly influential sound.
The album includes “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker,” “Rockaway Beach,” and “Cretin Hop.” Its cover art, designed by John Holmstrom, became one of the best-known images associated with early New York punk.
Rocket to Russia is sometimes confused with the Ramones’ self-titled debut or Leave Home, their first two albums. It was recorded during a particularly important period for the band, when their stripped-down style was influencing punk musicians in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
