Which award did Pixar's Cars win for Best Animated Feature in 2006?

Pixar's Cars won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2006.

The award was presented at the 64th Golden Globe Awards, held on January 15, 2007, honoring films released during 2006. Cars was the first winner in that Golden Globe category, which had been introduced for the 2006 awards cycle.

The film competed against nominees including Happy Feet and Monster House. Its win reflected the growing prominence of animated features in major film-award programs during the 2000s.

Cars also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature, but it did not win that Oscar; Happy Feet won instead. This distinction is a common source of confusion because Cars won several other honors, including the Golden Globe and an Annie Award for Best Animated Feature.
