Which award did Lost win for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005?

Lost won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005. The award recognized the show’s first season, which introduced its large ensemble and distinctive island mystery.

The series won the category at the 57th Primetime Emmy Awards. Its victory placed Lost among the major American television dramas of the period and confirmed its impact beyond its strong audience ratings.

Lost also received other major honors during its run, including acting and directing awards. Terry O’Quinn won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2007, and the series received additional Emmy nominations in later years.

The Primetime Emmy is distinct from the Golden Globe, Peabody Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. Those organizations also recognized television work, but they are not the award Lost won in the Outstanding Drama Series category in 2005.
