Which award did Dave win at the 2026 Brit Awards?

Dave won the Brit Award for British Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act at the 2026 Brit Awards. The category recognises achievement in a broad British rap tradition that includes hip hop, grime and related styles.

The award has a history stretching back to 2003, when it was introduced as Best British Urban Act. It was renamed and revived in its current form in 2022 after the Brit Awards removed gendered artist categories. Unlike the main Artist of the Year award, this genre category is decided by a public vote.

Dave had previously won the same honour in 2022, the first year of the modern category. His 2026 victory came against Central Cee, Jim Legxacy, Little Simz and Loyle Carner. The wording can be confusing because the official title uses slashes—“Hip Hop/Grime/Rap”—but “Best Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act” identifies the same Brit Award.
