Which Assassin's Creed title introduced the Viking protagonist Eivor?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Valhalla introduced the Viking protagonist Eivor.

Released in 2020, Valhalla follows Eivor, a Viking raider who leaves Norway and helps establish a settlement in ninth-century England. The game explores rival kingdoms, alliances, raids, and the continuing struggle between the Hidden Ones and the Order of the Ancients.

Players can choose a male or female presentation for Eivor, but the character's name remains Eivor Varinsdottir in the game's canonical framing. Eivor is not an Assassin at the beginning; the character gradually becomes involved with the Hidden Ones through contact with Basim and Hytham.

Valhalla is distinct from Odyssey, which is set in ancient Greece and features Kassandra or Alexios. It is also not a direct retelling of Norse mythology: mythological sequences appear within a broader historical story set during the Viking expansion into England.
