Which Assassin's Creed protagonist begins the series as a novice Assassin in the Holy Land?
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is the Assassin's Creed protagonist who begins as a novice Assassin in the Holy Land.
In the first Assassin's Creed game, Altaïr is a highly skilled but overconfident member of the Assassin Brotherhood. After breaking key rules during a mission, he is demoted by his mentor, Al Mualim. Altaïr must then complete a series of investigations and assassinations to regain his rank.
His missions take place in major cities during the Third Crusade, including Masyaf, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus. The story explores the Assassin-Templar conflict while gradually revealing that Altaïr's targets are connected by a larger political scheme.
Altaïr is often confused with Ezio Auditore, the Italian hero of Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Altaïr also appears in Revelations, where his later life and leadership of the Brotherhood are shown through memories experienced by Ezio.
