Answer
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag introduced the open-world Caribbean pirate Edward Kenway.
Released in 2013, Black Flag follows Edward Kenway, a Welsh privateer who becomes involved with both the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order during the Golden Age of Piracy. The story is set primarily in the Caribbean around 1715.
Edward is the grandfather of Ratonhnhaké:ton, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III, and the father of Haytham Kenway. His ship, the Jackdaw, is central to exploration, naval combat, and trading between islands, forts, and settlements.
The game is sometimes called only “Black Flag,” but its full title is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Assassin's Creed Rogue also includes major naval gameplay and takes place partly in the North Atlantic, but Edward Kenway is Black Flag's central character.
