Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the modern parkour-focused city of London?
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Answer
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Assassin's Creed Syndicate introduced the series' modern parkour-focused version of London.
Released in 2015, Syndicate is set in London during the Industrial Revolution. Players control twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they build an Assassin presence and challenge Templar influence across the city. The setting includes districts such as Westminster, the City of London, and Whitechapel.
The game added a rope launcher, allowing the Frye twins to cross gaps and reach rooftops more quickly. It also introduced drivable horse carriages and emphasized urban gang activities. Those mechanics distinguish Syndicate from Unity, whose main city is Paris during the French Revolution.
London had appeared in earlier Assassin's Creed material, but Syndicate is the main series game centered on Victorian London. The game's historical period is later than the Renaissance, colonial, and revolutionary settings used by several preceding titles.
