Which Assassin's Creed game introduced the Frye twins as its protagonists?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Syndicate introduced the Frye twins as its protagonists.

Jacob and Evie Frye are Assassin siblings who operate in London during the Industrial Revolution. The story is set mainly in 1868, when the twins challenge Templar control and criminal power across the city. Players can switch between them during much of the campaign.

Jacob is more focused on direct combat and building a gang, while Evie emphasizes stealth and searches for an Isu artifact. Their different abilities give the game two related play styles rather than a single interchangeable hero.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate was released in 2015. It features a fictionalized Victorian London with districts, railways, factories, and landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. The Frye twins are not the same characters as Arno Dorian from Unity, whose story takes place in Paris during the French Revolution.
