Which Assassin's Creed game introduced Bayek of Siwa as its protagonist?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Origins introduced Bayek of Siwa as its protagonist.

Bayek is a Medjay, a protector and lawkeeper from the Siwa Oasis in Ptolemaic Egypt. The story follows his investigation into a conspiracy affecting Egypt and the personal tragedy that motivates his campaign against its members.

Origins is set primarily in the first century BCE, during the reign of Cleopatra VII and the Roman intervention in Egypt. Its narrative presents the formation of the Hidden Ones, the precursor organization to the later Assassin Brotherhood. Bayek and Aya are central to that origin story.

The game also changed the series' structure by adding role-playing systems, equipment levels, a large open world, and a more developed combat model. Odyssey follows Origins chronologically in release order but is set earlier, in fifth-century BCE Greece.
