Which Assassin's Creed game follows Eivor, a Viking raider who settles in medieval England?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed Valhalla follows Eivor, a Viking raider who settles in medieval England.

Released in 2020, Valhalla begins with Eivor leading a Norse clan away from Norway and into England. The settlement becomes the base for alliances, raids, exploration, and conflict with rival kingdoms. Eivor can be played as male or female, but the character's name remains Eivor Varinsdottir in the story's canonical framing.

The plot takes place mainly in the late ninth century, when several Anglo-Saxon kingdoms competed for power. Historical figures including Alfred the Great appear alongside fictional characters and the continuing Assassin-Templar struggle. Valhalla is not simply a game about Scandinavia: England is its largest central setting, while Norway provides the opening region and later exploration. The title also connects Eivor's story to Basim, a Hidden One who is central to Assassin's Creed Mirage.
