Which Assassin's Creed game follows Connor during the American Revolution?

The story behind the answer

Assassin's Creed III follows Connor during the American Revolution.

The game was released in 2012 and is set mainly in the Thirteen Colonies from the 1750s through the early 1780s. Connor, whose Kanien'kehá:ka name is Ratonhnhaké:ton, becomes involved with the Assassin order while navigating the conflict between the colonial revolutionaries and the Templars.

Historical figures including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Charles Lee appear in the story. The game also introduces frontier environments, seasonal weather, hunting, and expanded naval sequences, alongside its missions in Boston and New York.

Connor is the son of Haytham Kenway, who is initially presented as a central character. That family connection can cause confusion with Black Flag, which stars Haytham's father, Edward Kenway. Assassin's Creed III also concludes Desmond Miles's principal modern-day arc.
