Which Assassin's Creed character stars in the Renaissance-set Ezio trilogy?

Ezio Auditore stars in Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, commonly called the Ezio trilogy. His story begins in Renaissance Florence and expands to Venice, Rome, and Constantinople.

Ezio starts Assassin's Creed II as a young Florentine nobleman. After his family is executed, he becomes involved with the Assassin Brotherhood and spends decades opposing Templar schemes while building alliances with historical figures such as Leonardo da Vinci.

Brotherhood follows Ezio's campaign in Rome, where he works to weaken the Borgia family and rebuild the local Brotherhood. Revelations brings him to Constantinople and also connects his story with Altaïr's legacy.

The trilogy is distinct from the first game's more isolated narrative because it presents Ezio's long personal development across several decades. Ezio also appears in the animated short film Assassin's Creed: Embers, which depicts his later life.
