Jay-Z is featured on Beyoncé’s song “Crazy in Love.”
Released in 2003, “Crazy in Love” served as the lead single from Beyoncé’s debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. Jay-Z contributes a rap verse, while the production prominently samples the horn line from the Chi-Lites’ 1970 song “Are You My Woman (Tell Me So).”
The single became one of Beyoncé’s signature recordings. It topped charts in several countries and won the Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2004. Its bold horn arrangement and energetic video helped define the beginning of her solo era.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé later married in 2008 and collaborated on additional releases, including the joint album Everything Is Love in 2018. Their personal relationship is separate from the specific musical fact: Jay-Z is the featured rapper on “Crazy in Love.”
