Which artist has won the most Grammy Awards in history?

Beyoncé has won more Grammy Awards than any other artist in Grammy history.

Her victories span R&B, pop, rap, music video, and broader general-field recognition. She first won Grammys as a member of Destiny’s Child and later expanded her record through her solo career, including major wins for albums, singles, and collaborations.

The record is sometimes mixed up with the separate record for most Grammy wins by an individual male artist, most nominations, or most Album of the Year victories. Those categories produce different leaders. Beyoncé’s total is an overall career-wins record.

Her Grammy history also includes a notable contrast: despite her enormous number of wins, she waited until 2025 to win Album of the Year, for Cowboy Carter. That distinction is why total wins and General Field wins should not be treated as interchangeable.
