Which artist has won Album of the Year four times, more than any other artist?

Taylor Swift has won Grammy Album of the Year four times, more than any other artist.

Swift reached the record with Midnights, which won Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Her earlier wins were for Fearless, 1989, and folklore. Those victories span multiple phases of her career and different approaches to songwriting and production.

The record counts Album of the Year victories, not total Grammy wins. Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon also reached four Album of the Year wins, but Swift became the first artist to exceed their shared total when she won for Midnights.

Album of the Year honors the overall album project and is separate from Record of the Year, which recognizes a particular recording. Swift’s achievement therefore concerns complete albums rather than the number of hit singles she has had recognized.
