Which artist co-headlined Beyoncé’s 2018 album Everything Is Love?

The story behind the answer

Jay-Z co-headlined Beyoncé’s 2018 album Everything Is Love.

Everything Is Love is a collaborative studio album credited to The Carters, the artistic name used by Beyoncé and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter. It was released on June 16, 2018, during the couple’s On the Run II Tour. The album contains nine tracks, including “Apeshit,” whose music video was filmed inside the Louvre in Paris.

The album followed a period in which both artists addressed relationship difficulties and infidelity in their individual work. Rather than presenting only one performer’s perspective, Everything Is Love emphasizes their partnership and shared public identity. The Carters won the Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album for the project in 2019.

The album is sometimes confused with Beyoncé’s solo releases or Jay-Z’s solo albums because both artists have extensive catalogs. Its defining feature is that it is jointly credited to Beyoncé and Jay-Z as The Carters.
