Taylor Swift became the first four-time Album of the Year winner at the Grammys in 2024.
She won the award for Midnights at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Her earlier Album of the Year victories were for Fearless in 2010, 1989 in 2016, and Folklore in 2021. The fourth win gave her the category’s outright record among individual artists.
Before Swift’s 2024 victory, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon each had three Album of the Year wins. Swift’s wins also span different phases of her career, from country-influenced pop to synth-pop and indie-influenced songwriting.
Album of the Year is awarded to the artist, producer, recording engineer, and mastering engineer associated with the winning album. In ordinary trivia usage, however, Taylor Swift is identified as the artist who established the four-win record.
