Which alternative rock artist released the 1995 album 'Jagged Little Pill'?

The story behind the answer

Alanis Morissette released the 1995 alternative rock album Jagged Little Pill. Issued by Maverick and Reprise on June 13, 1995, it became her international breakthrough and marked a dramatic change from the dance-pop style of her first two Canadian albums.

Morissette co-wrote every song with producer Glen Ballard, whom she met after moving from Ottawa to Los Angeles. The album's emotionally direct writing and rock production attracted broad attention, especially after “You Oughta Know” became a major hit. Other well-known tracks included “Ironic,” “You Learn,” and “Hand in My Pocket.”

Jagged Little Pill was both a critical and commercial success. It won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Rock Album, and became one of the best-selling albums of the 1990s. The title is sometimes confused with the later stage musical, but the original 1995 release was Morissette's studio album.
