Which airline is the largest operator of Airbus A380 aircraft?
Answer
Emirates
Answer
Emirates
Emirates is the largest operator of Airbus A380 aircraft.
The Dubai-based airline made the A380 central to its long-haul strategy and became the aircraft's biggest customer. Emirates received its first A380 in 2008 and used the type on routes linking Dubai with major international cities.
The A380 is a double-deck, wide-body aircraft designed for high passenger capacity. Emirates configured many of its aircraft with three classes, including private suites in first class, onboard showers, and a lounge on the upper deck.
Singapore Airlines operated the first commercial A380 flight in 2007, but it does not have the largest A380 fleet. Other major operators have included Qantas, Lufthansa, and British Airways. Emirates' extensive A380 network helped make the aircraft especially recognizable to international travelers, even though several airlines later retired or reduced their A380 fleets.
