Which airline introduced scheduled Concorde service from London to Bahrain in 1976?

The story behind the answer

British Airways introduced scheduled Concorde service from London to Bahrain in 1976.

British Airways began commercial Concorde operations on 21 January 1976, with its first service flying from London Heathrow to Bahrain. On the same day, Air France began its own Concorde service from Paris to Rio de Janeiro via Dakar.

Concorde cruised at about Mach 2, more than twice the speed of sound, and typically flew at around 60,000 feet. Its speed reduced many intercontinental journeys to roughly half the time of conventional jet flights.

British Airways inherited Concorde operations from the former British Airways Corporation, which had replaced BOAC in 1974. The aircraft remained in service until 2003, when British Airways and Air France both ended their Concorde operations.
