Which African country has Gaborone as its capital?
Answer
Botswana
Answer
Botswana
The African country with Gaborone as its capital is Botswana.
Botswana is a landlocked country in southern Africa. Gaborone, in the country's southeast, became the capital when Botswana gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1966. The city is also the country's largest urban centre and an important administrative and economic hub.
Botswana is bordered by Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and a short boundary with Zambia. It is widely associated with the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert and important diamond deposits. A common mix-up is confusing Gaborone with Windhoek, the capital of neighbouring Namibia, or Maseru, the capital of Lesotho.
