Selma Blair portrayed Kris Jenner in American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson.
The FX limited series premiered in 2016 and dramatized the 1994–1995 trial of former football star O. J. Simpson. Kris Jenner, then known as Kris Kardashian, was the former wife of Robert Kardashian, one of Simpson’s defense attorneys and a close friend of Simpson.
Blair’s performance depicted Kris during the period surrounding the trial, including her concern for Nicole Brown Simpson, who had been married to Simpson. The role is sometimes confused with Sarah Paulson’s performance as prosecutor Marcia Clark, which won major awards for the series.
The production was based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson. It formed the first season of the American Crime Story anthology, whose later seasons covered unrelated historical cases.
