Which actress plays Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon?

Lily Gladstone plays Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

The film adapts David Grann’s nonfiction book about the murders of wealthy Osage people in Oklahoma during the 1920s. Mollie is an Osage woman whose family becomes a target as oil wealth creates enormous financial incentives for exploitation and murder.

Gladstone’s performance received widespread acclaim and made her the first Native American nominee for the Academy Award for Best Actress. The role also brought international attention to the Osage Nation’s history and to the film’s emphasis on Osage perspectives and cultural identity.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays Ernest Burkhart, Mollie’s husband, while Robert De Niro plays William Hale. The film was released in 2023 and marked another collaboration between Scorsese and both De Niro and DiCaprio.
