Which actor voices the adult King Agnarr in Disney’s Frozen?

Maurice LaMarche voices the adult King Agnarr in Disney’s Frozen.

Agnarr is Elsa and Anna’s father and the king of Arendelle at the beginning of the film. He and Queen Iduna try to protect Elsa after her powers injure Anna, choosing isolation and secrecy as their response. Their decision shapes the sisters’ childhood and the central conflict of the story.

The film uses different performers for Agnarr at different ages. Maurice LaMarche voices the adult king, while young Agnarr is voiced by Tyler Merna. Jennifer Lee voices Queen Iduna in the original Frozen, and Evan Rachel Wood voices Iduna in Frozen II.

Agnarr’s backstory becomes more important in Frozen II, which reveals that he survived a shipwreck as a young man and encountered Iduna in the Enchanted Forest. The sequel therefore expands a character who has only a brief presence in the first film.
