Which actor voices Sterling in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Nathan Fillion voices Sterling in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Sterling is the wealthy owner of the Rust-eze brand and becomes Lightning McQueen’s new sponsor after Rusty and Dusty Rust-eze sell the company. He sends Lightning to the Rust-eze Racing Center, hoping the aging champion can regain his competitive form.

Sterling initially appears supportive, but his business priorities become clear when he prepares to retire Lightning if the racer cannot win again. He also wants Cruz Ramirez to remain a trainer rather than pursue a racing career. Lightning’s success in helping Cruz reveals that Sterling has underestimated her potential.

Nathan Fillion is known for television roles including Richard Castle in Castle and John Nolan in The Rookie. Cars 3 added Sterling to his voice-acting work. The character’s name is unrelated to the British currency unit, even though the film includes international racing elsewhere in the franchise.
