Which actor voices President Andre Curtis?

Keith David voices President Andre Curtis in Rick and Morty.

President Curtis is the recurring President of the United States in the animated series. The character first appeared in “Get Schwifty,” where Rick and Morty help Earth respond to the Cromulons and their dangerous musical competition. He later becomes a recurring ally, rival, and source of unwanted missions for Rick.

Keith David is an acclaimed actor and voice performer whose other credits include The Thing, They Live, Platoon, Gargoyles, and Community. His deep, commanding delivery helps make the President’s speeches and confrontations especially recognizable, while the character’s vanity and irritation provide much of the comedy.

The character was initially referred to simply as the President and was shaped partly as an amalgamation of contemporary U.S. presidents. The surname Curtis was established later in the series. Nathan Fillion, Tom Kenny, and Phil Hendrie have all contributed voices to animated productions, but none voices President Andre Curtis in the English-language series.
