Which actor voices Jackson Storm, Lightning McQueen’s high-tech rival in Cars 3?

Armie Hammer voices Jackson Storm, Lightning McQueen’s high-tech rival in Cars 3.

Jackson Storm is a sleek next-generation race car who dominates the early part of Cars 3. His design represents the technological and aerodynamic advances entering the racing world. Storm’s confidence makes him a direct contrast to McQueen, whose career was built in an earlier era and who struggles to keep pace with newly trained competitors.

Storm’s success pushes McQueen to seek help from Cruz Ramirez, a trainer and simulator expert. Their work together leads the story toward a broader idea of competition: experienced racers can still contribute by adapting, teaching, and recognizing new talent. The film therefore treats Storm not simply as a villain, but as the visible challenge posed by changing technology.

Armie Hammer voices Jackson Storm. Cars 3 was released in 2017 and was directed by Brian Fee. Jackson Storm is distinct from Chick Hicks, the aggressive rival from the original Cars; the two characters belong to different generations of racing competition.
