Which actor voices Chick Hicks in Pixar’s Cars?

Michael Keaton voices Chick Hicks in Pixar’s Cars.

Chick Hicks is the aggressive veteran racer competing against Lightning McQueen and The King in the film’s Piston Cup storyline. He is identified by the number 86 and is sponsored by Hostile Takeover Bank. His driving style contrasts with The King’s experience and McQueen’s youthful ambition.

Keaton’s role is a voice performance rather than a physical appearance. The actor was already known for live-action films such as Beetlejuice and Batman, while Cars used his voice to give Chick a boastful, abrasive personality.

Chick Hicks is not the film’s final winner in the sense of earning McQueen’s respect. Although he takes the Piston Cup after The King crashes, the climax emphasizes McQueen’s decision to help his rival finish rather than simply claim victory. Chick later appears in Cars 3 as a television racing commentator.
