Which actor voiced Professor Zündapp in Pixar’s Cars 2?

Thomas Kretschmann voiced Professor Zündapp in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Professor Zündapp is a German scientist and one of the antagonists in the film’s espionage plot. He works with the group behind a conspiracy involving the World Grand Prix and Allinol, an alternative fuel presented as a major technological development.

Kretschmann is a German actor known for film and television roles in international productions. His casting helped give Zündapp a distinctive European identity within the movie’s globe-spanning spy story. The character’s name and design are part of Cars 2’s playful use of automotive and national stereotypes.

Cars 2 includes several prominent spy characters. Michael Caine voices British agent Finn McMissile, while Emily Mortimer voices Holley Shiftwell. Eddie Izzard voices Miles Axlerod, the organizer of the World Grand Prix. Those roles are often confused with Zündapp because all are involved in the film’s central international conspiracy.
