Which actor voiced Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Cristela Alonzo voiced Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Cruz begins the film as a trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center, where she helps Lightning McQueen prepare for competition against faster next-generation racers. Although she initially presents herself as a confident professional coach, the story reveals that she has always wanted to race herself.

Alonzo’s performance helps define Cruz as both a comic presence and a serious athlete. Her character gives Cars 3 a new perspective on racing, because Cruz is not simply an established champion or an experienced mentor. She is a capable racer whose ambitions were limited by other people’s expectations.

Cruz eventually replaces Lightning in the Florida 500 and defeats Jackson Storm. Lightning then adopts Doc Hudson’s old racing colors, while Cruz becomes the new racer for the team. Cruz also appears in later Cars television projects and games.
