Which actor portrayed Conrad Ecklie on CSI?

Marc Vann portrayed Conrad Ecklie on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Vann played Ecklie as a recurring authority figure whose career developed from crime-lab supervisor into senior law-enforcement leadership. Ecklie frequently clashed with Gil Grissom because he valued procedure, administration, and institutional advancement, while Grissom prioritized evidence and the independence of his investigative team.

The character first appeared during the show's early seasons and became especially important when he reorganized the Las Vegas crime-lab teams. His decisions affected Catherine Willows, Sofia Curtis, and Grissom, making him one of the series' most recognizable bureaucratic antagonists. Over time, however, Ecklie became a more cooperative colleague rather than remaining a straightforward villain.

Marc Vann's CSI role was one of his best-known television parts. He appeared as Conrad Ecklie across 37 episodes from 2000 to 2015. The incorrect options are also associated with CSI, which makes this question easy to confuse: Wallace Langham played David Hodges, Jon Wellner played Henry Andrews, and David Berman played David Phillips. None portrayed Ecklie.
